About The Ranch

Wildfair  Ranch is located on 100+ acres in Hopland, California, just north of the Fetzer Winery on Old River Road. “Wildfair Ranch Road” begins at the top of Full Moon Ranch road and from there is it a good 2 miles across the ridge and into Wildfair Ranch Valley. There, right next to Parsons Creek you will find our little cabin, bathhouse, tent platforms and nature, nature, nature!

Wildlife at here is abundant and if you are observant, you won’t miss a thing. Yes, we have coyotes, bobcats, you may be lucky enough to hear a mountain lion in the hills, and some solitary rattlesnakes who will give you a loud warning if you approach too closely. There are several blacktail deer families here as well, along with our domesticated “wildlife” of approximately 40 free-range cattle and four happy horses. Birds are too varied to mention them all, but most noticeable are the Acorn Woodpecker,Nuthatch, Hawk, Titmouse, Quail, Bluebirds, Scrub and Stellar Jay, Redtail Hawk, Turkey Vulture, Owl, Turkey and Morning Dove. Vegetation includes a wide variety of oaks, manzanita’s (red barked trees), madrones, small pines, and California buckeye.

Whether you are interested in nature hiking, reading, writing, resting, or just communing with nature, staying at Wildfair Ranch is guaranteed to restore your soul.
